Electric scooters & motorcycles at Auto Expo 2020: Piaggio Vespa Electrica
Vespa Elettrica is a retro-styled scooter. It gets its power from a 4kW motor which offers a maximum riding range of 100km on a single charge. The company claims that you can fully charge Elettrica in 3.5 hours. The scooter comes with two riding modes, Power and Eco, which adjust the power output to optimize the riding range.
The electric scooter gets a 4.3-inch fully digital instrument panel for information on the speed, remaining range, battery charge, etc. This console also offers smartphone connectivity to access features like music, telephony, voice control system, etc. This electric scooter also gets a dedicated reverse mode for more convenience.
Okinawa Cruiser
Okinawa Cruiser is a maxi-scooter that is powered by a 4 kWh lithium-ion, detachable battery. This ensures convenient charging and hassle-free experience for the users. Additionally, the maxi-scooter also comes with a fast-charging port, through which the rider can charge the scooter in two to three hours. Hence, the scooter does not require frequent charging. Besides, the Cruiser can run up to 120 km on a full charge with a top speed of 100 km/h.

The Everve EF-1 comes with two lithium-ion battery packs of 4.2 kWh that are detachable. Its electric motor produces about 3.3 kW or about 4.4 bhp. Besides, the EF-1 comes with a top speed of 100 km/h. The electric scooter promises a range of 110 km on a single charge. It comes with fast charging that allows the batteries to charge up to 50% in 1.5 hours. In slow charging, you can fully charge the batteries in five hours.
The Everve EF-1 gets some of the premium features such as USD forks at the front, pre-load adjustable dual shock absorbers at the rear. Besides, it also gets disc brakes at both ends. The scooter runs on 120 section Maxxis tires. The Everve electric scooter has a 7-inch TFT display for the instrument console. The scooter will also get Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.
Devot
This is the first-ever hand-made electric motorcycle that is designed and made in India. It gets inspiration from India and British design technologies. The motorcycle can be fully charged in less than three hours, using an on-board charger. With fast charging, it will take 30 minutes to 1 hour to fully charge it.
The company will provide an on-board charger as standard. It will also be offering fast charging units to install at home and offices for fast charging. The motorcycle has a range of up to 200 km and a speed of up to 100km/h. Devot Motors is targeting the customers who aspire for a bike. The price of the electric motorcycle could be in the range of ₹1.20-1.50 lakh.

Hawk
The bike gets its power from a 3 kW BLDC (brushless DC) motor. This allows the motorcycle to clock a top speed of 120 km/h and offers a range of 150 km on a single charge. Evolet claims that Hawk can be fully charged in five hours. Evolet Hawk’s suspension setup includes telescopic front forks with mono-shock. Twin front discs and single rear disc brake in combination with single-channel ABS handle the braking duties.
Evolet Hawk comes with a fully digital instrument panel that displays speed, trip meter, odometer, battery charge status, remaining range, etc. This electric bike also comes with a dedicated app for IoT (internet of things) features such as smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle location, etc.
Raptor
The Raptor is an electric scooter made for long-distance commuting. It is powered by a 3000w Brushless motor. The scooter draws its power from a 72V 40 Ah lithium-ion battery. However, the company claims its range to be 100 to 250 km, with a top speed of 120 km/h. It takes anywhere between three to four hours to charge it fully. The Raptor will have a host of features such as mobile charging ports, USB ports, and more.
Derby
The Derby scooter is an entry-level low-speed electric scooter with a top speed of only 25km/h. It will be offered in two variants. The EZ version uses a lead-acid battery that takes 8-9 hours to charge fully However, the Classic version comes with a lithium-ion battery pack that takes only 3-4 hours for a full charge. The Derby also gets IoT (internet of thing) features, a fully digital speedometer cluster, and an electric-assisted braking system.

AE-47
Hero electric motorcycle AE-47 draws power from a 4000W motor with a top speed of 85km/h. It comes with a lithium-ion 48V/3.5 kWh battery which you can fully charge in 4 hours. The motorcycle has a range of 85Km in power mode while 160km in eco mode. The electric bike features combi-brakes with 290mm disc at front and 215mm at the rear.
Additionally, the AE-47 gets Cruise Control, which is the first-in-class. It also features a digital instrument cluster, keyless access, mobile charger, walk-assist, and reverse feature. The motorcycle is supported by a mobile app with features like GPS, GPRS, real-time tracking and Geo-fencing.
AE-3 Adventure
Hero AE-3 is an adventure tricycle which gets power from a 5.5kW electric motor and a 48V/4kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It employs a belt-drive and a large pulley to transfer power to the rear wheel. Hero Electric claims the range of 100km on a single charge and a top speed of 80km/h. You can charge the AE-3’s battery pack to full within 5 hours.
Furthermore, if you are unable to balance two wheels, this could be the perfect solution for you. The electric scooter Hero AE-3 e-trike can balance itself while standing still. The bike uses its gyroscope-enabled auto-balance park switch for the purpose.
Electric scooters & motorcycles at Auto Expo 2020: Emote Surge
Emote Surge claims top speed of 120km/h and 0-60 in less than 4 seconds. It claims a 100km range on a full charge which can be extended up to 200km & 300km with extra batteries. It will take 4 hours to fully charge the 2.88kWh battery with a standard charger. However, it takes only half an hour with a fast charger, as claimed by the company. You’ll also get smart features such as Bluetooth and 4G connectivity, ride telemetry, an anti-theft system, keyless operation, and customizable riding modes. Emote Surge uses a trellis frame while braking duties are performed by ByBre disc brakes at both ends. The motorcycle claims to provide a storage capacity of 70 liters.

e-Ludix is the fully-electric moped under the Peugeot brand. The Peugeot e-Ludix comes with a 3 kW Bosch electric motor, which mates with a lithium-ion battery. It takes about three hours to fully charge the battery. The scooter weighs just 85 kg and has a top speed of 45 km/h. A fully charged battery will give the scooter a total range of 50 km.
