Bajaj Auto’s New & Upcoming Pulsars…!!!
Bajaj Auto’s ambitious plan to roll out 6 new bikes in 2015 is already under way. Starting the year Bajaj Auto brought the most fuel efficient bike in India – the Bajaj Platina Electric-Start. Bajaj Auto is likely to extend its most popular ‘Pulsar’ range with all-new upcoming models. Apart from Pulsars, the new Avenger is also on the cards. Let’s find out which new Bajaj Pulsars could possibly hit the Indian roads in the near future…!!!
Bajaj Pulsar 200AS:
Pulsar 200AS stands for ‘Adventure Sport’. Bajaj Pulsar 200AS is believed to be the semi-faired version of Bajaj’s popular bike – the 200NS. The 200AS bike is expected to feature a projector headlamp and a larger visor screen. The 200AS will get its power from the 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine – same as the 200NS. This engine produces a good 23bhp of power and 18.3Nm of peak torque. The 200NS is driven by a 6-speed gear-box. Bajaj Auto will keep Pulsar 200AS competitively priced, which is expected to be under the Rs. 1 Lakh mark approx.
Bajaj Pulsar 200SS:
Pulsar 200SS stands for ‘Super Sport’, is a mid-level sports bike expected to be the first to hit roads in 2015. The 200SS is a fully-faired version of its elder sibling – the 200NS. The bike’s power is likely to come from the same 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, triple-spark petrol-engine of its sibling – 200NS. The power-train of 200SS is likely to be a 6-speed gearbox. The 200SS is believed to be equipped with the latest technologies such as the fuel injection technology and ABS. The 200SS also gets dual projector headlights, LED daytime running lights and dual tail-lights. The bike will feature a 280mm front and 230mm rear discs brakes respectively. The 200SS will be priced around Rs. 1.5 Lakh approx.
Bajaj Pulsar 400CS:
Pulsar 400CS stands for ‘Cruiser Sport’ is not exactly a conventional cruiser bike; however, it’s more of a sports bike and a step-down version of 400SS. Just like its sibling 400SS, the Pulsar 400CS will also sport the same Bajaj’s 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, triple-spark engine with fuel injection technology. This engine will be coupled to a six-speed transmission. The Pulsar 400CS is likely to be priced in the range of Rs.1.7 to Rs.1.85 lakh approx.
Bajaj Pulsar 400 SS:
Pulsar 400SS stands for ‘Super Sport’ is a high performance premium-range bike. The Pulsar 400SS is dubbed as the “best creation of Bajaj till date” by the bike enthusiasts across India. This highest capacity Pulsar will be powered by a bigger 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, triple-spark engine with fuel injection technology. This engine will be coupled to a six-speed transmission. The Pulsar SS400 will most likely feature a split seat, mudguard-mounted taillight and clip-on handle bars. It is also expected to be fitted with ABS. The price of the Pulsar 400SS could be around Rs. 2.0 Lakh approx.
