Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.- the Indian arm of Honda has recently launched the refreshed look of its very popular scooter Activa which is now known as Activa 3G. Undoubtedly, the segment of scooters is now gaining the momentum again, making it absolutely necessary for the two-wheeler manufacturers to revise their strategies accordingly. In this article we have compared the Activa 3G with its very close rivals i.e. TVS Jupiter and Hero Maestro exclusively for our readers.

It is very clear that the capacities of all of them are around 109cc but to be specific Jupiter has the highest i.e. 109.7cc. In terms of performance figures, Hero Maestro has the maximum power and torque output of the three.

 In terms of the diet of the engine i.e. Petrol, mileage and fuel tank capacity are of the atmost importance. According to the claims of the respective manufacturers, Jupiter has the highest mileage of 62kmpl considering the fact that the fuel economy of Maestro has not been mentioned on the website of Hero. A quick look at the chart makes it clear that both Activa 3G and Hero Maestro have 5.3 Litre tanks while that of the Jupiter is only of 5 litre capacity.

Assessing the weight is one of the important considerations while selecting a two-wheeler. In this matter, the competition is critical in between Activa 3G and Jupiter as they differ only by a kg. Thus Jupiter is the lightest of the three weighing 107 kg.

The most dominating criteria in any vehicle selection is obviously the price. We have compared the Ex-showroom Mumbai prices of these scooters which are mentioned on the websites of the respective manufacturers and it is observed that Jupiter is the least priced, very closely followed by Maestro.
