The Swedish car manufacturer renowned to make the safest cars in the world- Volvo has recently introduced the petrol version of its popular crossover V40 Cross Country in India. Till date, V40 was available only in the Diesel option.
Engine & Gearbox:
Volvo V40 Petrol is powered by a four cylinder engine having a capacity of 1596cc. This engine is capable of producing 132 kW of power at a speed of 5700rpm while its maximum torque output is 240Nm in the speed range of 1600-5000 rpm. To maintain a perfect balance between performance and fuel economy, Volvo has employed a number of modern technologies on it like fuel direct injection and turbo-charging. This powerful engine is then mated to a six speed automatic gearbox.

Volvo V40 is accoutred with ample convenience features designed to reduce the driver fatigue and make driving a more enjoyable experience. Some of them are:

The Volvo V40 Petrol is priced at Rs. 27 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Mumbai). From the price point of view, this model would be competing the Mercedes Benz A class and BMW 1 series.
