Leaving behind the lassitude brought by last year’s emission scandal, world’s largest automotive group- Volkswagen, is all set to make a fresh start here in India by launching Volkswagen Ameo! Volkswagen Ameo styling:
It could be seen clearly that Ameo derives its front end and side styling from its elder sibling Vento. Only the area around boot seems to be exclusively designed for this sub 4 meter compact sedan. Minor tweaks in the tail lamps integrate them well in the overall fit.
Cabin of Ameo is spacious and well-equipped with many functional systems. Rich plastic quality of dashboard fosters the overall luxurious feel. Automatic air conditioning system with dust and pollen filter, touchscreen enabled infotaiment system, EPAS etc. are some of the other features that Ameo offers.
Volkswagen Ameo engines & gearbox:
The German carmaker has given two different engine options for engine of Ameo i.e. 1.2 litre MPI petrol engine and 1.5 litre TDI diesel engine. Both these engines are mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox and option of 7 speed DSG is given for 1.5 litre TDI engine only. At present only the petrol version is unveiled and we believe that the diesel version will follow soon.
