UML launches new versions of UM Renegade Commando Cruisers in Indian market
UM Lohia Two Wheelers India manufactures and markets the bikes of American brand UM Motorcycles. It recently launched the new variants of UM Renegade Commando bikes i.e. Classic and Mojave in India. The UM Renegade Commando Classic costs Rs 1.89 lakh and Mojave costs Rs. 1.8 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi), respectively. Both the new versions get cosmetic changes alongwith Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) as standard.
UM first showcased the Renegade Commando Classic at the 2016 Auto Expo. The vintage-styled bike gets some touring accessories as standard. They consist of saddlebag, tank cover with a storage pouch, polycarbonate windshield, engine guards and pillion back rest. According to UM Motorcycles, the Renegade Commando Mojave draws its inspiration from North America's Mojave Desert. Thus, Mojave comes with a desert paint scheme on the all-Matt black theme and the Mojave Desert logo. It also features the same touring package alongwith fuel tank cell phone pad but without the windshield.
UM Renegade Commando Engine:
The new bikes get the same engine which is 279cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled. The engine delivers the power output of 25.15 Ps at 8,500 rpm and develops 23 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Mojave comes in the Matt finish of desert theme while the Renegade Commando Classic gets chrome finish.
Both the Renegade Commando motorcycles get fuel tank of 18-litres capacity. Both the new trims have a kerb-weight of 179kg. Some important features of the bikes include wide tyres, disc brake at front and a USB charging port. UM has 60 dealerships across India and offers 24x7 roadside assistance. These UM Renegade Commando bike series will take on the Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles in India.
