Tata Nexon Set To Challenge Sub-4 meter Segment:
Tata Motors recently launched the sub-4 meter compact SUV Tata Nexon. With an eye on expanding its portfolio, Tata Motors launched its much-awaited car. The Nexon has a starting price of Rs. 5.85 Lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes with 10 variants (XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ+: 5 each in Petrol and Diesel).
Furthermore, Nexon features Tata signature honeycomb grille with sporty projector headlamps. The large front bumper houses round fog lamps with Ivory-white garnish. They match well with the bumper. The black honeycomb (humanity) grille and swept-back headlamps with LED DRLs add more style to the front-end. The Nexon top-end ZX+ trim also offers a dual-tone roof.
Tata Nexon Engines & Mileage:
Nexon is available with both, petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variants get power from the 1.2-litre, turbo-charged, Revotron engine which delivers 108 bhp power and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel variants get a 1.5-litre, turbo-charged, Revotorq motor which produces 108 bhp and 260 Nm torque.
Additionally, the car offers three driving modes – Eco, City and Sports which is first in the segment. Both these engines get a six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, Nexon delivers ARAI certified fuel economy of 17 Km/L for petrol version while 21.5 Km/L for diesel version.
Tata Nexon Special Features:
Tata Nexon offers some smart and user-friendly features for the occupants. Among the notables include utility spaces to carry your needs & cooled glove box. The dashboard is of three-tone theme. The instrument panel displays distance to empty and instantaneous fuel consumption.
The car gets optional features such as touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control. All the variants also get airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. With 350 litres of boot, there is ample space to carry luggage. The car gets large 16” machine-cut alloy wheels with class-leading ground clearance of 209mm as claimed by Tata Motors.
