Tata Motors goes Zest way, opens up online booking for Tata Bolt:

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch its latest hatchback the Tata Bolt in India. With an advance payment of just Rs.11,000/-, Tata Motors has officially opened booking for Tata Bolt online on its website. The delivery of Tata Bolt may commence in early 2015. Although Tata Motors has not disclosed its full price yet, it is speculated to be between Rs. 5 Lakh to 6.5 Lakh.

Tata Bolt Engine:

Tata Bolt will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version of the car features the powerful 1.2-litre Revotron turbo-charged petrol engine, which can produce 90PS at 5,000rpm and a torque of 140Nm at 1,750-3,500rpm. The diesel version is powered by 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel engine that can put out 75PS with a peak torque of 190Nm. Both these engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Tata Bolt is 3,825mm in long, 1,695mm wide and 1,562mm high. Tata Bolt has a decent ground clearance of 165mm and a wider wheelbase of 2,470mm.

Tata bolt will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Ford Figo and Honda Jazz.
