India’s First Indigenously Developed Supercar DC Avanti Launched..!!!
Talegaon based DC Design has finally developed & launched India’s first indigenous sports car – the DC Avanti; sans much fanfare. DC Design has already commenced the sale of the Avantis with a price tag of around Rs. 35 lakh in India. At the moment, the Avanti is being produced only in limited numbers of only 500 units; which were either pre-booked and / or sold.
A two-seater sports car, the DC Avanti is powered by a 4-cylinder 2.0 litre BS-IV turbo petrol-engine which delivers maximum power of 250 bhp at 5500 rpm and 340 Nm torque at 2750 to 5000 rpm. The Avanti is driven by a 6-speed manual transmission, which can make it sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 200 km/h, as claimed by the company.
The Avanti is 4565mm in long, 2120mm wide and 1200 mm tall; with a ground clearance of 170mm – very impressive for a sports car. New DC Avanti runs on 20” wheels, however with differently sized tyres – 255/35 R20 tyres at the front and 295/30 R20 tyres at the rear. The car brakes consist of ventilated discs with 330mm discs at the front and 295mm discs at rear. DC Avanti also offers high level of customization. However, surprisingly; the Avanti does not provide air-bags – a ‘must have feature’ for high speed cars.

DC Avanti Colours:
The Avanti is available in three body colour options: White, Silver & Red, whereas four trim colour options: Grey, Tan, Black and Red.
