Apple’s CarPlay has revolutionised the in-car entertainment and Pioneer has grabbed the opportunity to manufacturer the aftermarket equipment compatible with CarPlay in India. Leading in-car entertainment systems company Pioneer India Electronics has recently launched its in-car entertainment system model AVIC-F970BT with CarPlay. Pioneer AVIC-F970BT has a large LCD multi-display with touch-screen; featuring the Siri voice control to use your iPhone in smarter & safer way inside the car. AVIC-F970BT with CarPlay is priced at Rs. 39,990/-.
Thru’ CarPlay, users of iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can use Siri to make and receive calls, compose and respond to text messages, as well as listen to their music and podcasts. Thru’ CarPlay users can also compose and respond to text messages and listen to their music and podcasts using Siri voice control. AVIC-F970BT will utilise in-dash Pioneer display to navigate through in-built maps. It also provides an intuitive interface and combines high-quality audio and video to produce best results, as claimed by pioneer.
AVIC-F970BT is the latest product of Pioneer’s touch-screen car entertainment systems. AVIC-F970BT is equipped with a large 6.2-inch, multi-touch LCD display and an intuitive interface. AVIC-F970BT provides smart navigation through built-in maps. It supports the iPhone’s connectivity with CarPlay, Bluetooth and USB. With the launch of AVIC-F970BT, Pioneer has become the first company to roll out CarPlay compatible products in India.
Customers who already have Pioneer’s AVH-X8690BT will also be able to use CarPlay after updating the firmware of their device, which is now available free-of-charge through http://pioneer-india.in/shop/avh-x8690bt/. Current owners of AVH-X8690BT can simply download the firmware on a USB memory device and connect it to the receiver’s USB cable input. However, some of the features of CarPlay may not be available in India.
