The top German luxury car-maker Mercedes Benz has brought back its charismatic C-Class and India’s most eagerly awaited luxury car, with the launch the all New Mercedes C200. The New Mercedes C200 was launched in India on 25th of November 2014. The New C200 which is bigger in size gets new styling and more equipment than its predecessor. Eberhard Kern of Mercedes India said at the launch, “The all New C-Class sets the new benchmarks for modern luxury with its technological & design revolution.”
New Mercedes C200 Price:
The New Mercedes C200 is available at a starting price of Rs. 40.90 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The New C200 is based on Mercedes’ new MRA platform. MRA stands for the Mercedes Rear-wheel-drive Architecture. Mercedes has developed this platform to serve as the base for its future rear-wheel drive cars. With extensive use of aluminium, the New C200 has achieved a weight-loss of approximately 100 Kgs; compared to its predecessor model.
New Mercedes C200 Engine & Economy:
The company has launched the new Mercedes C200 with petrol engines first. The new C200 gets a powerful and even more efficient 2.0 Litre four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine, which produces 135 Kw of power and 300Nm of torque, is mated to a new 7-speed G-TRONIC PLUS transmission with AGILITY SELECT – 5 driving modes to select from such as Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. This rear-wheel drive sprinter is capable of racing from standstill to 100 Km/h in just 7.3 seconds. The new C200 gives mileage of 14.74 Kmpl according to Mercedes Benz.

The new Mercedes-Benz C200 borrows styling clues from its eldest and costliest sibling – the S-Class. The new C-Class is also 95mm longer, 40mm wider and 5mm shorter and has an 80mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor model.
