The German luxury maker BMW has introduced third generation of its most successful Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) in the world- all new BMW X5; in an event that look place in Pune on 29th May 2014.
This luxurious all-wheel drive sporty vehicle which is equipped with TwinPower Turbo six cylinder in-line Diesel engine and 8 speed automatic transmission, is capable of producing a stunning power output of 258Hp and a handsome torque of 560Nm thereby achieving a mark of 100km/hr in merely 6.9 seconds. The top speed of this vehicle is 230 km/hr. Inspite of being a performance vehicle, all new BMW X5 delivers an impressive fuel economy of 15.35 km/litre.
While emphasising the unparalleled comfort and enhanced driving pleasure of all new BMW X5, Mr. Philipp von Sahr , President BMW group India, said “ This vehicle will be a new benchmark for powerful design, comfortable interiors and efficiency. It will provide an overall package to various customer needs.”
In addition to the technical superiority, one more advantage of all new BMW X5 lies in the fact that it is locally manufactured at company’s Chennai plant. This allows BMW to price it competitively.
The vehicle will be available in all BMW showrooms across India from June 2014 at an ex-showroom price of 70.9 lakhs.
