Nano F-Tronic aka ‘Easy Shift’ Coming Soon

Tata Motors rename Nano's F-Tronic Technology with easy-to-understand 'Easy-Shift':

Tata Motors has opened up bookings for new Nano GenX with 'Easy-Shift' (Automated Manual Transmission), which was earlier known as the Nano F-Tronic in India. Tata Motors is promoting the Nano GenX 'Easy-Shift' as a smart city-car targetting the youth and can be booked on its website with only Rs. 5001/-. The official launch of GenX is expected in the 1st week of May, 2015. Although Tata Motors has not disclosed its full price yet, it is speculated to be under Rs. 3.0 Lakh.

“We are targeting customer in the 25-35 years (age group), who seek independence through mobility, first car owners, including women who are more comfortable with gear-less vehicles,” said Delna Avari, head, marketing communications and services for passenger vehicles at Tata Motors.

Tata Motors has already started a marketing program called ‘Power of 1+1’, under which the company will target the present owners of the Nano as the potential buyers of the new Nano. Tata Motors will get the present owners to trade their old Nano with GenX with an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. The present owners can also participate in a referral program which can win them a prize of Rs 5,000 for every referral.
