In order to facilitate the development of skilled workforce in India and to endorse its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Mercedes Benz India has donated the latest versions of cars and Star Diagnosis Units- one each to the government polytechnic colleges in Pune and Aurangabad. These colleges run the ‘Mechatronics course’ designed by Mercedes Benz India, which is first of its kind in India.

“The Mechatronics Course by Mercedes-Benz has been designed keeping in mind the increasing complexity of technical processes which demands a workforce that has expertise in mechanical, electronic and informatics skills as well as in other modern automation technologies. Apart from these skills, the workforce will also develop their interpersonal skills through the programme.” said Mr. Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India while speaking at the occasion.

As a part of this initiative, Mercedes Benz India takes part in designing the syllabus, training lecturers, donating latest Mercedes Benz cars and sophisticated tools to these colleges.
