The sports roadster AMG SLC43 ready to cruise Indian roads!

German luxury car-maker, Mercedes-Benz, has recently launched its sports roadster AMG SLC43 in India. This C-class platform based vehicle is priced at Rs.77.5 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Also, it is the first Mercedes in India having a two-digit nomenclature i.e. ‘43’.
AMG SLC43 Powertrain:
Under the hood of Mercedes-Benz AMG SLC43 lies a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine which delivers maximum power of 367 hp and 520 Nm of torque. This engine is then coupled to a 9-speed G-TRONIC automatic transmission having paddle-shifters. In order to maximise driving pleasure, AMG Dynamic Select provides five driving modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. SLC 43 can sprint 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds however, top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
AMG SLC43 Features:
The front end of SLC 43 has diamond shaped grill and LED Intelligent Light System with daytime running lamps. The rear end has redesigned tail lights and AMG sports exhaust system. In addition, the distinctive feature of this hard-top convertible is that its electrically operated roof can be deployed up to a speed of 40 Km/h.
Furthermore, AMG SLC43 features heaps of convenience options such as electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, electrically adjustable steering column and power assisted speed-sensitive sports steering. Also, features like AMG 18” multi-spoke light-alloy wheels, panoramic vario-sunroof, ambient lighting package, rain sensing wipers and ECO start/stop find a place into the list of features of convenience.
AMG SLC43 Safety Equipment:
For the safety of driver and passengers, SLC 43 is equipped with an array of safety features which are:

- Crash-responsive head restraints
- Attention Assist
- Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
- Brake Assist (BAS)
- Adaptive Brake with HOLD function & Hill Start Assist
- 3-stage Electronic Stability Program

Moreover, Mercedes Benz has provided some more security systems like automatic-locking doors, an electronic immobiliser with KEYLESS GO to ensure safety of vehicle. The new AMG SLC43 will compete with Audi TT and BMW Z4 in the segment.
