India’s largest carmaker by volume- Maruti Suzuki has registered an astronomical growth of 20.8% in the sales for the month of December 2014 compared to the same month in year 2013. In December 2014 Maruti Suzuki sold 109,791 vehicles including both the domestic and export figures compared to 90,924 vehicles sold in December 2013.
A closer look at the bifurcated sales figure shows that this increase is attributed to the improved export which rose from 4311 vehicles in December 2013 to 11682 vehicles in December 2014 (an increase of 171%). Maruti Suzuki also fared well on the home ground thereby registering a growth of 13.3% in total domestic sales.
