The versatile group Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to promote electric vehicles among Indian customers who have faced many fuel price hikes in the past few years. Recently, M&M group’s subsidiary ‘Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles’ has launched ‘Goodbye Fuel, Hello Electric’ scheme to increase the awareness about electric vehicles and build customer confidence.

As a part of this scheme, M&M has offered batteries of Reva vehicles on rental basis to customers thereby slashing down the price of Reva e2o by nearly 1.7lakhs. The ownership of the batteries will remain with the company and the company will make sure that performance of the batteries is up to the mark in order to avoid any trouble to the customer. Company’s CEO Chetan Maini emphatically expressed his confidence in this scheme and said that the company will be able to allure more and more customers by this way.

A few of the many innovative features on Reva e2o include a provision to charge batteries quickly (Quick2Charge), integration of solar panel into the roof (Sun2Car) etc.
