JLR India extends its portfolio in Sub-40 Lakh segment with Jaguar XE Diesel.
Jaguar, the flagship car of the JLR Group, launched another Sub-40 Lakh Rupees Luxury car Jaguar XE Diesel. JLR India is, thereby, taking on the Big-3 luxury car makers – the Mercedes Benz, BMW & Audi’s Sub-40 Lakh Rupees models in India.
Jaguar XE Diesel Price:
Another charming luxury saloon, the XE Diesel was launched in India with a price-tag of Rs. 38.25 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Incidentally, the Diesel edition is the newest entrant to the Jaguar’s existing product line-up. The diesel version is in addition to the petrol version which is already on sale in India since January 2016. It costs Rs. 37.25 Lakh. The Jaguar XE is available in three variants viz. Pure, Prestige and Portfolio.
Jaguar XE Diesel Engine:
A 2.0-litre diesel engine which delivers an output of 177 BHP power @ 4000rpm along with 430Nm torque @ 1750-2500rpm powers XE Diesel. This allows you to reach 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 228 km/h according to JLR. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with JaguarDrive Selector™. The JaguarDrive Control system allows you to select between Normal, Eco, Dynamic modes or Rain / Ice / Snow modes.
In terms of appearance and cosmetics features, the XE diesel is as much as identical as the petrol version. It uses Jaguar’s lightweight Aluminium Architecture similar to the Jaguar F-Type which it derived from the aerospace industry.
