India-bound Stunning Top 5 SUVs in 2015:
The year 2014 saw a phenomenal growth & popularity for the SUVs in India. More & more people in India are now aspiring for this class of vehicles as it provides more utility in a vehicle. It seems this trend will continue in 2015 as we have compiled a list of some of the stunning SUVs in 2015; which are about to hit India’s roads soon.
1. Renault Duster SUV Facelift:
Also known as Dacia in Europe, the Renault Duster will bring the facelift version of Duster; which will be one of the exciting SUVs in 2015 for sure. Among the noticeable, the Dacia at Geneva Motor Show 2015 received styling tweaks at front and rear of the vehicle. The Dacia also received update on its interiors. Under the hood, the Dacia sports a smaller 1.2L TCe turbocharged petrol engine replacing the current 2.0L petrol motor. The new Duster heading for the Indian market may feature some downgraded specifications to suit local conditions.
2. Tata Hexa Crossover:
Tata’s Hexa crossover is a completely re-modelled & upmarket version of the existing Tata Aria. The revamped styling gives Hexa a macho-look, which is expected to attract more buyers & improve sales. From internally, the Hexa crossover looks quite similar to the existing Aria with a 6-seat layout plan and captain seats. However, the Hexa is likely to get a six-speed automatic transmission. The Hexa crossover sports a 2.2L VARICOR turbo-diesel engine offering similar performance stats to the Aria. The Hexa also features some new features including 19-inch alloy wheels, new LED tail-lamps, new dual-colour bumper and spoiler etc.
3. Volvo XC90:
Volvo will make the XC90 one of its flagship SUVs in 2015 for India and it will be introduced in the Indian market in May 2015. The new XC90 is based on Volvo’s ‘SPA’ aka ‘Scalable Platform Architecture’ platform. Volvo will launch the XC90 in the market with its advanced ‘Drive-E’ diesel engine. In addition to its futuristic design, the new XC 90 will be equipped with Volvo’s advanced safety equipment; which will be the major USP for the XC90.
4. Range Rover Evoque Crossover Facelift:
To be one of the most desired SUVs in 2015 – the Range Rover Evoque has received a facelift when it was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The Evoque facelift is likely to get minor alterations on its exteriors and interiors. Under the hood the luxury SUV will have the options of either turbocharged petrol or diesel engine. Land Rover will roll out the crossover into market from its Chikali plant near Pune.
5. BMW 1-Series Luxury Hatchback Facelift:
BMW is likely to bring its much awaited face-lifted 1-series in 2015. The updated 1-series as the new variant will get the UKL trim and a front-wheel drive option. The facelift displays minor variations on the inside and the front and rear with raised looks, which are noticeable. the company will assemble this low-cost BMW 1-series at its Chennai factory. It is likely to hit the market by the end of 2015.
