India Bike Week 2016 to be held on Feb 19 & 20, 2016:
In its 4th edition this year; the biggest carnival for Indian bikes and biker’s community- India Bike Week 2016, is being held at Goa on February 19-20, 2016. The festival; which is being dubbed as ‘The Great Migration’ by its organisers, is quite similar to journey of thousands of the migratory birds! Thousands of riders and bike enthusiasts of the Indian Biking community riding cross-country will migrate to Goa to attend India Bike Week 2016.
India Bike Week 2016 Events:
This year’s India Bike Week 2016 will be full of fun and its theme is – Motorcycles, Music & Madness. India Bike Week 2016 will also witness competitions such as ‘Hard Enduro’ – a race on IBW’s home-grown dirt/obstacle track and a ‘National Stunt Championship’ in the 2016 edition of IBW. These stunts will include wheelies, stoppies and burning of rubber. According to India Bike Week 2016, the Hard Enduro challenge consists of filthy dirt tracks; which are spread across 50,000 sq. Ft. area & about 19 crazy obstacles to overcome. The winner will be awarded a cash reward of Rs.10,000.
India Bike Week 2016 will also hold a unique competition in ‘IBW Film festival’; which features a platform to showcase your journey in a video: be it in a group or even solo. The participants will be able to showcase their work in short-films / videos to the audience. The short-films will have 3 sub-categories & videos to have 2 sub-categories to compete. A select panel will decide the winners in each category. The winner from each category will get a Go-Pro camera as a prize. Apart from this, there is also an exhibition consisting of vintage bikes, bikes accessories, bike build-offs and various bike brands to see and get a feel of.
