To cater the growing market of midsized saloons i.e. sub-four meter saloons, the second largest car manufacturer in India has launched ‘Xcent’ in the market.

Both Petrol (1.2 Lit. Kappa) and Diesel (1.1 Lit CRDi) variants are on offer. These engines are essentially the same as that of Grand i10. Five speed manual shift gearbox is standard on all trims and option of automatic transmission is offered only on top end petrol trims. The manufacturer claims that fuel economies of both the variants are 19.1 km/lit and 24.4 km/lit respectively. The base model of Petrol is priced at Rs.4.67 Lakh (ex-showroom) and Diesel is at 5.33 Lakh (ex-showroom) while the top end models cost Rs. 7.19 lakh and 7.33 lakh respectively.

The bookings are open and the deliveries are expected to commence soon.

Armed with good styling and competitive pricing; Hyundai aims high to take over Honda Amaze and Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
