The second largest player in the Indian auto-industry by volume – Hyundai Motor India is all set to introduce its proven war-horse i20 in altogether new form; entitled as Elite i20 on 11th August 2014. With the introduction of Elite i20, Hyundai will trigger the competition in already saturated segment of hatches.
Elite i20 manifests ‘Fluidic sculpture 2.0’ – a design philosophy developed by Hyundai. Company’s design studio in Germany is the birth place of this stylish hatch. The new appearance casts a fine balance between formal and aggressive look, making it suitable for young as well as middle aged people. While giving Elite i20 a stylish and bold exterior look, care is taken not to hamper the interior space thereby making it a ‘good-looking & functional’ car.
The long hood on Elite i20 generates an impression of power which is aided by a newly designed front hexagonal grille. Headlamps with the metal inserts elevate the overall getup of vehicle further. The wrap around rear window and tail lamps are some of the distinguishing features of Elite i20.
Even though the exact specifications of Elite i20 are yet unknown, it is anticipated that it will feature the same engines from current i20 i.e. 1.2 litre petrol and 1.4 Litre diesel. Also, the company has not disclosed the price range of Elite i20. As per our sources, the price range is expected to start from Rs. 6 lakhs.
The company has started accepting the pre-bookings for Elite i20.
