The Iconic sports car Ford Mustang finally reaches India:
Ford India has launched its flagship model Ford Mustang GT in India. The car was launched at an introductory starting price of Rs. 65 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The car is being brought to India under the CBU route. It is the first right-hand drive variant of the car which Ford decided to produce for the markets like India.
Ford Mustang GT: RAW Power
The sixth generation Ford Mustang GT is powered by a 5.0L V8 petrol engine which delivers 401 PS of power and 515 Nm peak torque. The car can reach the top speed of 250 Km/h. The engine is mated to a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with peddle shifters.
The car comes with four driving modes – Normal, Sport+, Track and Snow / Wet. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels thru’ a live axle supported by independent rear suspension system.
Ford Mustang GT: Style Quotient
On the styling part, the car gets wide trapezoidal grille with central air dam and automatic projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights. Two fog lamps stand out on both sides of the air dam whereas the prominent horse emblem is positioned on the centre grill. The car’s ORVMs also feature puddle lamps with ‘pony’ projection.
Ford Mustang GT: Colours & Equipment
Ford Mustang GT is being offered in six colours – Absolute Black, Ingot Silver, Oxford White, Race Red, Triple Yellow Tricoat, and Magnetic.
The sports coupe comes loaded with the following features:
- Dual front airbags with additional curtain, side impact and knee airbags
- ABS with EBD
- ESC and traction control
- Keyless Entry with Push Start Button
- Electric Power Assisted Steering
- Dual-zone HVAC system
- Adaptive cruise control
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)
- 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Ford SYNK2 and voice control
Ford Mustang GT is also equipped with features like six-way adjustable driver seat, rear diffuser, reversing camera, heated and powered outside rear view mirrors and passenger seats with powered lumbar support.
