Ford India brings Ford Fiesta with features to feast on


Ford Fiesta 2014:

With an eye on expanding its portfolio in Indian passenger car market, Ford India has launched newest avatar of its flagship model - the all new Fiesta 2014; with big revamp and heaps of features to feast on. The all new Fiesta 2014 was launched on June 20th with a slogan ‘Stay Connected 24/7’. The company has priced its Diesel versions very smartly – with the lowest starting price tag of just Rs.7,69,000/- ex-showroom Delhi for base model; while keeping the highest price lucratively under 10 Lakhs for the top end model to Rs.969,622/- ex-showroom Mumbai.

Ford Fiesta Engine:

The new Fiesta gets its power from the proven 1.5L TDCi Diesel Engine which produces 91 PS of Power and 205 Nm of Torque. This power-plant is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. Ford India claims the ARAI certified fuel economy of 25.01 Km/L (manual transmission) for the new Fiesta, which puts it into an elite class of cars comprising of Honda New City & Honda Amaze having certified mileage above 25 Km/L. The new Fiesta will also be easy and economical on maintenance as the service interval for diesel model is set at 10,000 kilometers by Ford.



Ford Fiesta 2014 Features:

The Fiesta 2014 top end variants come packed with advance features like Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), Cruise Control, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Push-Button start with Smart Keyless Entry, Rain-Sensing Wipers and Rear Parking Sensors.

The 2014 Fiesta also includes some unique features such as SYNC™* with Ford AppLink™*, Emergency Assist (via SYNC™*). With Ford AppLink™* you can connect with some of your smartphone applications using simple voice commands, all without having need of going through the phone menu options. With ‘Emergency Assist’ feature, you can connect with Emergency Services in the event of an accident.



Ford has also equipped Fiesta with ‘Voice Control’ - this feature lets you stay connected ‘hands-free’ while using various applications on the go. It also provides for USB & iPod integration with which you can connect the Ford audio system via SYNC™*. You can also use your Bluetooth® phone to call your contacts, dial numbers and answer calls with a few simple words using SYNC™.

With this feature-packed Fiesta, Ford is looking to get a bigger pie in the fiercely competitive mid-sized saloon segment where it will take on the big players such as Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Fiat Linea and Skoda Rapid in the C-segment.
