Ducati brings its most adventurous tourer Multistrada 1200 Enduro to India:
Ducati, the Italian brand of premium bikes, recently launched Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro bike for the adventure loving bike riders in India. The Enduro edition of Ducati’s Multistrada line-up is available for Rs. 17.44 Lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). Ducati claims that Enduro is the most adventurous bike in Ducati’s stable. In Enduro edition, Ducati focused more on the off-roading capabilities of the bike as compared to other Multistrada versions.
Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro: Engine & Power
The power for Enduro comes from Ducati’s proven 1200 cc, L-twin cylinder, 4-valves / cylinder, liquid cooled engine. This Testastretta DVT engine is Euro-4 complaint which delivers 160 hp power at 9500 rpm and 136 Nm torque at 7500 rpm. The engine also features Bosch electronic fuel injection system and elliptical throttle bodies with Ride-by-Wire technology. Also, it has a 6-speed gearbox to transmit power to the rear wheel.
Multistrada 1200 Enduro: Features
Multistrada 1200 Enduro comes with four different riding modes viz. – Enduro, Touring, Sport and Urban. These riding modes ensure optimum ride handling as per the road conditions. To enhance the safety further, Enduro gets Ducati safety pack with cornering ABS which provides dynamic control to the bike while braking. The bike also features Ducati full LED headlamp with cornering lights, wheelie control, traction control and cruise control. Enduro also has a Full-TFT touch-screen with Bluetooth which allows the rider to connect a smartphone to the bike.
The Hands-Free system actuates the ignition and secures Enduro. With this, the bike can be started by just keeping the electronic-key in rider’s pocket. The bike also gets the Ducati signature Trellis frame with aluminium Double-sided swing arm which provides better shock-absorption during off-roading. The braking system includes twin 320 mm semi-floating discs with Brembo monobloc 4-piston callipers at the front whereas a 265 mm single disc at the rear.
To enhance the all-terrain features of Multistrada 1200 Enduro further, it consists of a semi-active electronic suspension of Sachs- both at font and rear. The front suspension contains 48 mm, USD, fully-adjustable Sachs forks. The rear suspension is also a Sachs unit. This suspension allows 200 mm wheel travel (for both front and rear unit) which makes the ride more comfortable for normal as well as off-road riding. To improve the ride further, Enduro runs on a 19” spoked front wheel and a 17” spoked wheel on the rear. The bike comes with a larger 30 litre fuel tank which ensures a long range of around 450 kms.
