Engine & Power:

Furthermore, 2019 Diavel 1260 borrows its engine from Ducati Multistrada 1260 and XDiavel. It is Ducati’s Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Valve Timing) 1262cc engine which produces 157 bhp and 129 Nm of peak torque. This engine also features the Bosch electronic fuel injection system with Ride-by-Wire technology. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox which transmits the power to rear wheel thru’ a chain.

Diavel 1260 Features:

Furthermore, there are many changes to the latest Diavel 1260. Keyless ignition and cruise control are ‘standard’ features. Among others are the launch control, and a rear-wheel lift mitigation system. Additionally, the power cruiser gets a complete electronics setup. It includes Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control EVO. It also includes Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, Ducati Power Launch EVO, and Cruise control. Besides, Diavel offers three riding modes – Urban, Touring, and Sport. Urban mode limits the power to 100 bhp and a smooth throttle response. Touring mode gives full power and smooth throttle response. however, the Sport mode gives full power and aggressive throttle response.

It also gets a new suspension and new cast sub-frame and an aluminum cast single-sided swing-arm. Besides, there’s also a new anti-lock braking system (ABS) from Bosch. It is supported by the 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU). IMU assists the cornering traction control system, wheelie control system and self-canceling turn indicators. The motorcycle has tire-hugger mounted number plate and blinkers. Besides, it gets a 17″, 240mm wide rear tire. The single-piece rear seat on a short sub-frame provides more comfort.

Difference Between 1260 & 1260S:

The Diavel 1260 and 1260S are mechanically different. Hence, there is a difference in their price. The 1260 S version is sportier than standard 1260. It uses fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at front and rear. It has a high-performance braking system with Brembo M50 Monobloc calipers at the front. The Diavel 1260 S also gets bi-directional quick-shifter which allows clutchless shifting. The 1260 S also gets full LED lighting, backlit handlebar switches, and a 3.4-inch TFT display.

Equipment:

Ducati multimedia system on Diavel 1260 is compatible with the Ducati Link App. It can be synced with a smartphone and Ducati Link App via Bluetooth to set up the journey mode.
