Girnar Software Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of the famous Indian automobile website CarDekho.com, has acquired BuyingIQ.com for an undisclosed sum. BuyingIQ is an online shopping advisor for electronic goods. It aims to provide an assistance to the consumers in buying electronic goods at the cheapest prices.
CarDekho which is supported by the chairman Emiritus of Tata Group, Mr. Ratan Tata, has discovered that the model developed by BuyingIQ has a tremendous underlying potential which could be applied to the auto-industry as well.
Even after the acquision, BuyingIQ will continue to operate as an independent portal and its founder members will take up the leading roles in product development teams at Girnar Software.
