BS6 Suzuki GIXXER 250, SF 250 Bikes Launched in India

BS6 Suzuki GIXXER 250 Priced at Rs.1.63 Lakh:

Introducing its BS6 version of its entry-level sports motorcycles in the country, Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the Gixxer 250 priced at ₹ 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Suzuki Gixxer 250 and SF 250 come with an upgraded BS6-compliant 249cc engine which generates 26.5hp of power at 9,300rpm and 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7,300rpm. Both motorcycles get a six-speed manual gearbox for transmission duties. The BS6-compliant Gixxer 250 costs Rs. 1.63 lakh. However, the BS6 Gixxer SF 250 and the SF 250 MotoGP variants cost Rs. 1.74 lakh, and Rs. 1.75 lakh, respectively. Now with the transition to BS6 norms, the Gixxer 250 now costs Rs 1,63,400, while the fully-faired Gixxer SF 250 costs Rs 1,74,900. At this price range, the Gixxer 250 duo takes on the Bajaj Dominar and Yamaha FZ25.

Engine and power:

The new Suzuki Gixxer 250 and SF 250 get an updated BS6-compliant 249cc engine which develops 26.5hp of power at 9,300rpm and 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7,300rpm. For transmission duties, both motorcycles get a six-speed manual gearbox.

The MotoGP edition for the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 has also been carried into the BS6 era and the same now costs Rs 1,74,900. The prices mentioned are ex-showroom. the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 gets its power from a 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces 26hp of power along with 22Nm of torque. The gearbox is a six-speed version. The two bikes come with features like an all-LED headlamp, disc brakes at both ends with a standard ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), all-digital instrumentation, and more.
