Engine & Power:

The F 850GS Adventure gets its power from 853cc, in-line, parallel-twin cylinder engine that also powers the regular 850GS. However, this engine produces 5bhp more; churning out 94 bhp at 8,250 rpm. However, the torque output remains the same 86 Nm at 6,250 rpm.

The motorcycle has a 6-speed gearbox which claims a top-speed of 197 km/h. The adventure tourer also gets a new self-boosting, and anti-hopping clutch that reduces the torque drag. This offers enhanced safety during braking manoeuvres while down-shifting.

BMW F 850GS Adventure Features:

The BMW F 850GS Adventure ‘Rallye Style’ has an all-new color theme as well. Aesthetically, the motorcycle carries the classic adventure tourer look. It has the signature GS flyline that is noticeable from the sides. The bike also has typical GS design features such as the short beak, and the asymmetric LED headlamp. Also, gold painted wheels and front forks, high-mounted exhaust, and big GS badge on the tank add to the list.

BMW also offers a new instrument cluster that features an analogue tachometer and a multifunctional display, alongwith several control lamps. There is also an optional 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity feature. BMW Motorrad multi-controller allows quick access to vehicle and connectivity functions such as making phone calls and playing music. Besides, the BMW Motorrad Connected App offers arrow navigation directly thru the TFT display.

BMW motorcycle comes with some strong equipment to raise its off-road capabilities. These include long-travel upside down front forks, rear mono-shock with adjustable pre-load and rebound. It has 21-inch cross spoke wheels at front and 17-inch at the rear. The bike also gets rear suspension strut with travel-dependent damping and steering stabiliser. BMW Motorrad also provides a 23-litre fuel tank on the F 850 GS Adventure. The seat height is increased to 875 mm which is 15 mm more than the regular F 850 GS.

Furthermore, BMW offers the rider assist and safety systems such as Automatic Stability Control (ASC), and ABS. The two riding modes - "Rain" and Road" are standard which can suit most of the riding conditions. BMW F 850 GS Adventure also offers two more optional riding modes - 'Dynamic' and 'Enduro' along with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and ABS pro.

In this price-range, the BMW F 850GS Adventure motorcycle will take on Triumh Tiger 800, Ducati Multistrada 850 and also the Honda Africa Twin in India.
