Blaupunkt India Launches Next-Gen Infotainment System:
Now-a-days cars are being used to travel longer distances than before. On a long-distance travel, what matters most to the car occupants is; how to spend good time in the car while they are travelling. In most cars, the entertainment system is already pre-installed by the manufacturer. Usually it is only a basic music system, capable of playing radio & digital music at the most. However, this does not meet the expectations of the newer generation travellers. The customers are now looking for an all-inclusive in-car entertainment with better features such as a touch-screen, video player, navigation etc. over the standard music systems. For this reason Blaupunkt launched Blaupunkt capetown 940.

This newly launched high-end infotainment system – Blaupunkt CapeTown 940 is based on Google’s Android and has been priced at Rs. 54,990/-.

Special Features:
The Radio of the CapeTown 940 is equipped with CODEM IV high-end tuner, an FM (RDS), AM (MW/LW) tuner and World tuner (switchable). The CapeTown 940 Data carrier supports DVD, VCD, CD, CD-ROM, USB, SDHC and SD formats. It also features Steering Wheel Control input, Twin Display (radio plus external monitor) and an HDMI input. Blaupunkt has also equipped Cape Town 940 with an internet connectivity via Wi-Fi, android music player app, HDMI/MHL, independent rear seat entertainment zone, Bluetooth with Twin connect – connecting two phones simultaneously with an option to choose which phone to be used for dialling.
The CapeTown 940 also features a unique ‘Mirror Mode’. With this, the users can project / stream the screen of their smartphones onto the system’s main screen & rear screens and also control the applications of iPhone and Android smartphone via radio TFT. Blaupunkt India has also collaborated with MapmyIndia who will provide offline maps on the microSD card – an optional service on the Cape Town 940 to those opting this service at an additional cost of Rs. 3,990/-.
