Benelli TNT Bikes Launched

India’s DSK Group brings Italian Benelli TNT sports bikes to India:

Another European bike-maker – Benelli of Italy has landed in India. Benelli, which has tied up with India’s DSK Motowheels; launched Benelli sports bikes in India recently. Benelli has delegated the task of assembling and selling Benelli bikes to the DSK Motowheels in India and DSK will also provide after-sales service and spare parts. For now, all the five bikes launched are currently being imported to India as CKD units.

DSK-Benelli has launched the bikes in the engine capacity range of 300cc to 1131cc and has set a sales target of 3000 units for the year 2015. DSK Motowheels is also planning to set up exclusive dealerships across India’s major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Goa in the first phase, later followed by other Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

The Benellis in India:

Benelli TNT 300 – Benelli’s most affordable street-racer bike in India as of now, the TNT 300 is powered by a 300cc 4-stroke, 8 valves, DOHC, liquid cooled, In-line 2-cylinder engine tuned to produce 28.14 KW of power and 26.5 Nm of torque, driven by a 6-speed gearbox.

Benelli TNT 600i & TNT 600 GT – Benelli’s twin sport bikes in India – the TNT 600i & TNT 600 GT both are powered by a 600cc 4-stroke, 8 valves, DOHC, liquid cooled, In-line 4-cylinder engine tuned to produce 62.57 KW of power and 54.6 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Benelli TNT 600i is semi-faired, whereas the 600 GT comes as fully-faired version.

Benelli TNT 899 – Benelli’s super sport bike in India – the TNT 899 is powered by an 898cc 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC, liquid cooled, In-line 3-cylinder engine. This electronic fuel injection engine is capable to produce 92 KW of power and 88 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Benelli TNT 899 has semi-faired body.

Benelli TNT 1130R – Benelli’s high-end super sport bike in India – the TNT 1130R is powered by an 1131cc 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC, liquid cooled, In-line 3-cylinder engine. This electronic fuel injection engine is capable to produce a massive 95 KW of power and 110 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Benelli TNT 1130R has semi-faired body.

Benelli’s Future Models for India:

Benelli will also add more bikes to its portfolio, which were showcased at the IBW 2015 – the TNT 25 – a street-racer, the Blackster 250 – an affordable cruiser under Rs. 2 lakh and Trek Amazonas – an Adventure Tourer which will compete against the Triumph Tigers in the near future. Apart from this, a fully-faired version of Benelli TNT 300 is also being planned for launch. All Benelli bikes will also get the ABS feature in a phased manner later this year.
