Benelli Launches IMPERIALE 400 in India

Italian bike-maker – Benelli recently launched the Benelli Imperiale 400 model in India. The new Benelli Imperiale 400 costs Rs 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new Imperiale also happens to be the company’s first product in the classic cruiser motorcycle segment. It was first revealed globally in 2017. Furthermore, Benelli claims that the new Imperiale 400 evokes the brand’s strong heritage. Also, it is a reinterpretation of the Benelli MotoBi range that the company produced during the 1950s. Bookings for the Imperiale 400 are now open for a token amount of Rs 4000 across the company’s dealerships and also on the company’s website. Imperiale will directly compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Jawa in this segment.

Commenting on the launch, Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Benelli India, said, “We are delighted to launch a series of exciting models in the last two months in the Indian market and this clearly proves Benelli’s commitment to India. We are betting big on the segment, with the launch of the Imperiale 400 and are confident of capturing a significant market share with a number of dealership launches set to take place, to ensure that our services and the Imperiale 400 is within reach for every rider out there”.

Benelli Imperiale 400  Engine & Powers:

Benelli Imperiale 400 gets an all-new 374cc, SOHC, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled BS4 engine.  This engine comes with electronic fuel injection. It produces a maximum power of 21PS @ 5500rpm, and a torque output of 29Nm @ 4500rpm. The motorcycle gets a 5-speed gearbox.

Furthermore, 41 mm telescopic front forks and preload-adjustable dual shock absorbers at the rear carry out the suspension duties. A 300 mm disc at the front with a two-piston floating caliper while a 240 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear performs the braking function. Besides, the dual-channel ABS is standard.

Benelli Imperiale 400  Suspension & Brakes:

Furthermore, Benelli Imperiale 400 has a compact double-cradle frame underneath the bike. However, it has an old school design language with a round headlamp and teardrop fuel tank. Additionally, the motorcycle has a chrome and black finished engine and exhaust which manifests its retro look. The bike rides on the 19-inch spoke wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear. 110/90 section at the front while 130/80 section tubed tires at the rear respectively wrap the wheels.

Furthermore, Benelli Imperiale 400 comes with a three year/unlimited kilometer warranty as standard. Besides, the company is offering complimentary service for the first two years. Besides, the company has also announced an Annual Maintenance Contract for hassle-free customer experience. It can be availed after the completion of the first two years. In addition, Benelli Imperiale 400 is available in three color options – Red, Silver, and Black.
