BattRE GPS:ie is an Internet Connected Scooter
BattRE is a Technology-driven startup in India. With BattRE gps:ie, the company made electric mobility more affordable to the common man. This e-scooter connects to the internet and costs only ₹64,990. While many consider electric mobility as expensive, this e-scooter could change that view. BattRE gps:ie is available at as many as 50 dealerships across Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh.
The BattRE gps:ie uses a SIM and incorporates a bunch of smart features on its telematics platform. This could be a game-changer for ride-sharing companies. The riders and owners will get the live location of the e-scooter through GPS and also driving behavior and trip reports. BattRE gps:ie offers advanced features like geofencing, remote immobilization, secure parking, etc. The owner can also set a speed lock that pushes alerts whenever the user crosses the speed limit. The electric scooter also sends alerts for the status, towing, crash, and speeding to the owner. Furthermore, the scooter uses a 48V 24Ah Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery which delivers a range of 65km. It takes 2.5 hours to fully charge the battery. BattRE gps:ie also employs disc brakes on both wheels, telescopic forks, and adjustable rear springs.
The price includes the first-year subscription. However, from the second year onwards, there is a charge of Rs 1,200 for an annual subscription. BattRE has partnered with San Jose California based technology company Aeris Communications for this e-scooter. It uses a SIM card that users can access through a smartphone app. Besides, it also includes driver behavior reports, trip reports, secured parking, and device management. The owners of the e-scooter can get alerts when the vehicle crashes or is being towed away, on phone through the app or on PC through the web portal. The e-scooter is available in 8 color schemes – Black, Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow, White, Silver, and Grey.
The manufacturers are hiking the prices of two-wheelers on account of upgrading to BS6. Hence, e-scooters seem to be a practical solution. So, there could be a possible rise in demand for e-scooters in the near future. BattRE has already appointed more than 50 dealerships across Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh. Besides, you can also buy the e-scooter on Amazon.
