Bajaj Platina to feature an Electric-Start option soon?
India’s most popular two-wheeler brand Bajaj Auto is reportedly developing an Electric-Start version of its low-end model Platina. The Bajaj Platina is an entry-level commuter bike, currently available only with the ‘Kick-Start’ option. One of our ardent followers managed to click a few spy pics of new Platina for us which are displayed here.
Current Platina is powered by a 99.27cc air-cooled, single-cylinder 4-stroke petrol engine, which is capable of giving mileage of 68 km/l (estimated). Bajaj Platina has a top speed of 91 Km/h. The test mules were being tested for 'fuel efficiency' as can be seen in the spy pics. The new Platina was fitted with ‘a changed rotor with high inertia, 43 teeth sprocket’, which were displayed on its body. The new Platina also displays a different exhaust silencer as seen in the pics. Crankit’s follower was informed that the the new Bajaj Platina was fitted with an Electric-Start mechanism; however, they were not sure about the launch of the same.
