Launches 2015 models of A & B class

 

More power, more luxury, more fun!!!

 

Mercedes Benz India- the German luxury carmaker, has launched 2015 models of its premium hatchbacks i.e. A class & B class on 11th March 2015 as a part of the strong growth strategy set for the current year in Indian market. The new B class is now available in a new form which is a perfect blend of the luxury, design and sportiness; while A class 2015 gets a new powerful Diesel engine.

“Our A-Class and B-Class compact cars have been a proven success story and have captured the imagination of the young and affluent Indians. The New Generation Cars continue to play a significant role in our product strategy and we are confident of winning new customer groups for the brand.” said Mr. Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes Benz India, while underlining the confidence in the performance of these two cars at the launch function that took place in Mumbai.



New B class exterior:

The most prominent change in the exterior of New B class is the new bumper and a wide radiator trim. The LED headlamps on new B class also integrate Day time running lights, thereby yielding a sharp look to the vehicle. The rear bumper is also modified.

New B class features more elegant styling in the interiors such as a revised dashboard design and more comfortable seats having memory function. Panoramic sunroof is now available as a standard feature thereby enhancing the comfort level further. The characteristic three spoke steering wheel gets the paddle shifters.

Powerhouse of New B class:

The petrol version of B class is powered by a four cylinder turbocharged engine having a displacement of 1.6 liters. This powerful engine produces a remarkable power of 90 kW @ 5000 rpm and its maximum torque output is 200 Nm between 1250-4000 rpm. As claimed by Mercedes Benz India, this engine delivers an impressive fuel economy of 14.8 kmpl.

New B class Diesel gets its power from a 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine of capacity 2143cc. 100 kW @ 3600-4400 rpm is the maximum power that this engine can produce and its maximum torque output is 300 Nm @1600-3000 rpm. The claimed mileage of this engine is 19.7 kmpl. The same engine now also powers A class model year 2015.
