40,000th Locally produced bimmer rolls out

BMW India has rolled out 40000th locally produced BMW car from its production facility in Chennai, Tamilnadu. It has been the proud moment for the German manufacturer as well as all their employees. BMW has invested a huge amount of about 390 crore India rupees in this state-of-art manufacturing plant which is located in Mahindra World City Business zone in Chennai. Equipped with the most sophisticated machinery and the highly skilled artisans this factory is serving the increased product portfolio of the manufacturer in India.

At present BMW 1 series, 3 series, 3 series Gran Turismo, 5 series, 7 series, X1, X3 and X5 are locally produced in this manufacturing plant. Localisation of more and more range of products has facilitated BMW to offer vehicles at the competitive price and this is one of the reasons behind BMW’s success in India.
