Kawasaki launches 2020 Ninja ZX10R in India. Let’s look at what it offers!
Kawasaki Motor India recently launched the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R in India. The super-sport motorcycle commands a price-tag of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Kawasaki is bringing the ZX-10R to India via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route. Hence, the locally assembled 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R costs less by Rs 31,000 than the previous model while the motorcycle offers more power, improved suspension, and braking performance.

What’s So Special about 2020 Ninja ZX10R?
Kawasaki claims that the new model is based on the World Superbike (WSBK) race machine. The bike comes to India via the CKD (Completely knocked down) route and Kawasaki will assemble it locally. Aesthetically, the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is almost identical to the older version. Except for some stickers, look wise, the bike remains the same. It comes with few red accents on the fairing which differentiates it from the earlier version.
However, there are some big updates to the power-train. While the motorcycle has the same 998cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine, it now gets finger-follower valve actuation in place of tappet-style design. This engine churns out maximum 203 PS and 213 PS with RAM air intake while torque output is 114.9 Nm. The motorcycle also gets a revised 6-speed constant mesh gearbox with Kawasaki Dual Direction Quick-shifter for clutch-less shifts.
Fully-adjustable 43 mm Showa inverted forks at the front with 120 mm travel carry out the suspension duties on the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. The motorcycle has back-link gas charged mono-shock unit at the rear with 114 mm travel. Dual semi-floating discs of 330mm with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers at the front and a 220mm single disc at the rear with a single-piston caliper perform braking for the ZX10R. The ZX10R also employs a steering damper especially designed by Ohlins.
