2019 Honda CBR650R launched at Rs. 7.70 Lakh

Honda starts deliveries of 2019 Honda CBR650R in India

Motorcycle manufacturer Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) recently launched its middleweight sports bike, the 2019 Honda CBR650R, in India. The manufacturer began delivering the new CBR650R from the Honda BigWing Gurugram showroom (Haryana). Honda brought the CBR650R to India thru’ completely knocked down (CKD) route. Hence, the locally made bike gets a price-tag of Rs 7.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Honda had first unveiled the CBR650R at Milan Motorcycle Show. The new CBR650R replaces CBR650F in Honda’s middle-weight sports bike stable.

2019 Honda CBR650R gets its power from a 649cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine delivers 87 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 60.1 Nm of peak torque at 8000 rpm. The motorcycle offers Assist/Slipper Clutch along with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) to maintain rear wheel traction which is switchable. Furthermore, HondaThe CBR650R’s chassis is 6kg lighter than the outgoing CBR650F. The motorcycle gets 41 mm Showa Separate Fork Function (SFF) USD forks at the front. 2019 Honda CBR650R is available in two colours which are Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black.

Mechanically, dual radially-mounted callipers at the front and single-piston rear calliper with a dual-channel ABS carry out the braking duties on the bike. From the design point of view, the 2019 Honda CBR650R gets the styling inspiration from its elder sibling Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade. Honda CBR650R features sharp, aggressive lines and extended side fairings, alongside a sportier riding position. The motorcycle also gets full LED lighting with a narrow dual-headlamp similar to the Fireblade. Besides, a digital LCD display enhances its bold looks. Its handlebars hook-on below the top yoke and the instruments display Gear Position and Shift-Up indicator.

Honda CBR650R is available in 2 vibrant colours - Grand Prix Red & Gunpowder Black Metallic. Honda CBR650R will take on the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 650, Suzuki GSX-S750 and the Triumph Street Triple S in this price range. The motorcycle is available at 22 Wing World outlets and one exclusive Honda BigWing dealership in Gurugram (Harayana).
