Triumph brings new variants of the street sports bike to India… Launches 2017 Triumph Street Triple S:

Premium brand of motorbikes Triumph India brought new variants of its street sports bikes to India. The company recently launched three models of its Street Triple motorcycle in India, of which the 2017 Triumph Street Triple S has a starting price of Rs. 8.50 lakh (Ex-showroom). The 2017 bike series comes with an all-new engine, new design, updated suspension and a light-weight chassis.

The power in Street Triple S comes from a 765cc, 3 cylinder-inline, liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC engine. According to Triumph, the new engine has 80 new components which include an increase in bore and stroke, new cam, pistons and Nikasil plated aluminium barrels for better heat dissipation. This results in engine churning out a whopping 113 Ps power and 73 Nm torque which is 30% higher than previous model. This Multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection engine mates with a 6-speed gearbox. 2017 Triumph Street Triple S will compete with Kawasaki 900, Ducati Monster 821 and Aprilia Shiver 900.

2017 Triumph Street Triple S Features:

The new Triumph Street Triple S gets Showa suspension at the front and rear. The bike has 41 mm USD forks at front with separate function fork. It has 110 mm of travel. At rear is the pre-load adjustable mono-shock unit with 124 mm of rear wheel travel. Nissin two-piston sliding callipers at the front and Brembo-sourced single-pot calliper with a 220 mm disc at the rear handle the braking duties.

Furthermore, the new Triumph Street Triple S offers traction control. The dual-channel ABS comes as standard and cannot be switched off. The bike also has two riding modes which are ‘road’ and ‘rain’. The bike is available in two shades – Phantom Black and Diablo Red.
