Watch out for the India-bound 2017 Jeep C-SUV Spy Pics :
Jeep India has already started testing its flagship 2017 Jeep C-SUV model in India. Team CrankIT caught the new Jeep C-SUV (codenamed the Jeep 551) while undergoing testing in Pune recently. The new Jeep C-SUV is Jeep’s compact crossover SUV which is likely to replace the Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot. Jeep is likely to terminate the production of the first generation models of Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot by December.
The car features numerous cosmetic enhancements as Jeep is launching the C-SUV with some major styling changes on exteriors as seen in the spy pics. From the spy pics, it reveals that the new Jeep’s exterior gets some of its cues from the Grand Cherokee and it will borrow the interiors too. The dashboard inside the 2017 Jeep C-SUV looks more like the traditional Jeep design
2017 Jeep C-SUV Exteriors:
The Jeep C-SUV 2017 looks similar to the Jeep Grand Cherokee to some extent. It will share the Fiat 500X and the Jeep Renegade‘s small-wide front-wheel drive platform. On the exteriors, the new Jeep C-SUV gets restyled front fascia as it was heavily camouflaged.
There could also be a few changes in the front grille; possibly, either restyled front bumper or redesigned fog-lamps. The rear bumper was camouflaged too, making its appearance completely disguised. The tail lamps too were heavily covered which indicates they could come with new LED effect.
The new car also gets a chrome strip from the side profile which runs from the ‘A’ pillar all the way upto the ‘D’ pillar. It continues to decorate the tail gate matching the rear windscreen at the bottom and giving the car a seamless feel. The new Jeep C-SUV also gets optional 5-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels with tubeless tyres for better road-grip.
2017 Jeep C-SUV Power-train:
The Jeep C-SUV gets its power from the engine options of 2.0-liter Tigershark petrol and a 170 hp 2.0-liter MultiJet II diesel engine. These engines will couple to the transmission choices of 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic.
